Fornasetti kicks off with culture again after these months of lockdown and opens a new exhibition in Parma, Italy, today at 2.30pm. ‘Fornasetti Theatrum Mundi’ is a dialogue between the architecture and artworks of the Complesso Monumentale della Pilotta and Fornasetti’s boundless creativity. A network of references and suggestions that give life to a ‘theatre of the world’, as the term was understood in the Sixteenth century.
An encyclopaedic vision of knowledge that leaves the imagination free to understand, reconstruct and interpret the world.
The exhibition is curated by Barnaba Fornasetti, artistic director of the atelier, Valeria Manzi, co-curator of cultural projects, and by Simone Verde, director of the Complesso Monumentale della Pilotta.
